Basic Education accreditation

Saint Joseph College’s Basic Education Department successfully earned excellent commendations from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) during its formal visitation to the school in compliance to the Level II Accreditation requirements.

The success of the visit relied heavily on the combined efforts of the school community members. Those who constitute the administration showed their support through the improvement of the school facilities. The faculty members, on the other hand, stepped up their instructional activities through the utilization of modern teaching methods and strategies. Through the encouragement of the administration, they also enrolled themselves in graduate studies and attended various seminars to strengthen their competence.

The school’s aim of producing globally-competitive students is reinforced not only through the application of the learning competencies of Basic Education which was mandated by the Department of Education but also through the inception of different campus ministries. Two of the main ministries are: the Augustinian Recollect Students’ Crusaders whose primary aim is to train students for leadership and academic discipline; and, the Outreach Ministry whose goal is to encourage students to lend a helping hand to the less privileged members of the community.
