The Quezon City government this morning suspended afternoon classes in all public and private elementary and secondary schools due to continuous rains, flooding and impassable streets brought by the low pressure area identified by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The QC government has coordinated closely with the Division of City Schools and the 142 barangay disaster risk reduction coordination committee in recommending the suspension of classes throughout the city, according to a press release sent to the Philippine Information Agency-National Capital Region,
Students who came for their morning classes were likewise directed to go home.
