The Physical Facilities and Engineering Division (PFED) of the Schools Division of Ifugao has completed the inspection of 45 new school buildings in the province based on the report to Schools Superintendent Estella Carino.

PFED Coordinator Honorio Pumihic said that of the 45 projects located in the different municipalities here, 30 were financed under the Quick Response Fund (QRF) of the government and 15 under the Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEFF) of the Department of Education (DEPED).

The 30 completed school buildings funded under the QRF have a total of 66 classrooms with four classrooms in the secondary level and 62 class rooms consisting of 26 elementary school buildings.

On the other hand, there are 15 new school buildings financed under the BEFF consisting of four national high school buildings with nine classrooms and eight new elementary school buildings with a total of 11 classrooms.

The BEFF projects also included the construction and rehabilitation of the historical Gabaldon Building in Kiangan, completion of the Ifugao Schools Division Office Roof Deck in Lagawe and the replacement of the burned school building also located at the same Schools Division Office compound.

The new buildings are in addition to the 15 school buildings earlier inspected and reported. These are now being used by the pupils and students.

Pumihic said the completion of these school buildings give more comfort and convenience to the learners as they attend their classes.
