Davao City – In celebration of the Library and Information Services Month this November, The Municipal Officials here in Kapalong headed by Mayor Edgardo L. Timbol initiated a month-long library tour and story reading program for kinder pupils at the Kapalong Municipal Library.

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 837 dated November 1991, the month of November is designated as Library and Information Services Month of which public libraries are mandated to observe. The Library Tour and Reading Program aims to ignite pre-schoolers’ passion for reading.

Moreover, to cater students’ research needs, the library will be opened every Saturday aside from its daily schedule with no noon breaks. The celebration will be culminated on November 28 with an awarding program for best kiddie readers and for frequent library users from elementary, secondary, and college institutions operating in the municipality.
