Objectives of the different programs
The Liberal Arts Program of SMCM aims to produce graduates who are professionally prepared to share with others their knowledge and skills in a Christian and scientific perspective and who are endowed with integrity, values and social responsibility for their commitment as concerned citizens of the community.
Its Education Program aims to produce graduates whose professional competencies, ethics, social awareness and involvement, responsibility, and keen sense of Filipino culture will enhance the true pursuit of knowledge through relevant teaching methods and classroom management techniques.
The Commerce Program aims to produce graduates whose intellectual and technical skills and competencies are necessary to meet the growing needs of the community toward self-reliance and national economic development. It further aims to develop the students’ Christian values and principles, which are basic components of good professional procedures and practices to answer the challenges of a globally competitive business environment.
The Accountancy Program aims to produce graduates who are equipped with Christian principles, analytical skills and strong foundations in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, finance and other related fields that would prepare them for the challenges and demands of the accountancy profession.
The Tourism/Hotel And Restaurant Management Program aims to produce graduates who are professional and effective promoters of the country’s natural and cultural attractions, managers of tourism resources which include tourism establishments such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, and travel agencies; entrepreneurs who will help accelerate economic development and likewise give a sense of morality to the business world particularly in the area of tourism and food industry.
The Computer Science, Information Technology And Information Management Program aims to produce graduates who are technologically and psychologically prepared to meet the needs of the scientific and business community toward a self – reliant national economic development. In pursuit of holistic training for the students, it further aims to develop the students’ Christian values and principles, which will form the basic components of good professional procedures and practices to answer the challenges of a globally competitive business and technical environment.
