Qualified incoming second year high school students who have completed first year secondary education from other high schools may apply at the Philippine Science High School (PSHS).

The school offers a Transfer Program or lateral entry for the school year (SY) 2010-2011.

This is a government program under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) which gives opportunity to gifted Filipino children to avail a quality education for free.

Students eligible to file the application should belong to the upper five percent (5%) of his/her class and should have a grade of 85% and above in all subjects.

The student must pass the accreditation examination in subjects like Mathematics, Science and English. He/she should get at least 60% of the total score in each of the three (3) subjects.

Likewise, the student must have a character rating of at least VS (Very Satisfactory).

He/she must not have a pending application for immigrant status in a foreign country.

The school requires applicants to submit endorsement and certification by the principal/guidance counselor of the school where the applicant is presently enrolled, two (2) recent 1×1 ID pictures, photocopy of the student’s report card with the original copy brought along for verification purposes, non-refundable processing fee of P100.00, and an accomplished application forms.

Deadline of submission of requirements will be on April 8, 2010, and the examination day is slated on April 21, 2010.

Passers of the examination will be accepted a scholar of PSHS?Central Mindanao Campus.
