The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 678 out of 1,197 passed the Pharmacist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Pharmacy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, and Cebu this July.
The top 10 examinees are Ver Luanni Feliciano Bilano, University of the Philippines-Manila, 90.85 percent; Irish Rodriguez Fernandez, University of the Philippines-Manila, 89.60; Chrisel Gutierrez Carreon, University of the Philippines-Manila, 89.38; Phillip Oligario Manasan, University of Sto. Tomas, 89.32; Ma. Kriselda Calma dela Cruz, University of Sto. Tomas, 89.07;
Divine Margallo Gatpandan, University of the Philippines-Manila, 88.65; Joshua Bañaria Arimado, University of Sto. Tomas, 88.43; Ma. Avigail Martha Acuña Pastoral, University of the Philippines-Manila, 88.42; Jecel Ang Wong, University of San Carlos, 88.40; and Dolores Rejoice Rosario Dizon, University of Sto. Tomas, 88.35.
On the Board of Pharmacy which gave the licensure examination are Catalina C. Sanchez, chairperson, and Reynaldo Maxlito H. Umali and Jennifer M. Flores, members.
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Thursday, July 12, but not later than July 27.
The oathtaking ceremony of the examinees will be held before the Board on Friday, Aug. 3, 1 p.m., at the Fiesta Pavilion of the historic landmark Manila Hotel.
Registration for membership with the Philippine Pharmaceutical Association (PPhA) Inc. will start on Thursday, July 12.
The top performing schools (with 10 or more examinees) in the July 2007 Pharmacist Licensure Examination are University of the Philippines-Manila, 27 of 27, and Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela, 11 of 11, 100 percent; Centro Escolar University- Malolos, 20 of 22, 91 percent; and San Pedro College-Davao City, 11 of 13, 85 percent.
Other top schools with 51-100 examinees are St. Louis University, 50 of 51, 98 percent., and with 100 or more examinees, University of Sto. Tomas, 247 of 272, 91 percent.
