The Philippine National Police Academy, the premier institution that provides comprehensive education and training programs for the human development of the country’s public safety officers, is now accepting applications for the PNPA Cadet Admission Test to be conducted October 30 this year.
While undergoing the four-year cadetship program, cadets receive monthly pay and allowances to meet education and training requirements such as uniforms, subsistence, books, school equipment and supplies, toiletries, laundry, haircut, etc.
PNPA cadets are recipient of full college scholarship from the government. Upon admission, they are entitled to training pay and allowances that include Initial Clothing supplies worth P24,000; basic Pay – 14,538 per month; additional compensation of P500/mo; Personal Economic Relief Allowance – P500/mo; clothing allowance – P100/mo and subsistence allowance – P90/day.
Upon completion of the course, graduates are conferred the BSPS degree; has the option to choose the branch of service: Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, or Bureau of Jail Management and Penology; are appointed as police, fire, and jail inspectors. They may pursue graduate studies.
PNPA needs able, responsible, and well-motivated youths who have the aptitude for service to meet the varied and challenging duties of a public safety service officer.
The initial requirements for admission are as follows: A natural born Filipino citizen; of good moral character; male or female, single and with no legal obligation to support a child or children; 17-21 years old at the time of admission; Height of at least 162.5 cm (5ft 4 in) for male, and 157.5 cm (5ft 2 in) for female; Weight of not more or less than five kilograms of the standard weight measurement corresponding to height, age and sex, and at least a high school graduate.
The applicant must be physically and mentally fit for cadetship training and must be able to perform the following physical fitness test; Pull-ps for male – and full arms hanging for 30 seconds for female; 25 two-minute push ups for both male and female; and two-minute sit ups – 30 for males and 20 for females; 100 meter dash, 18 seconds for males and 20 seconds for females; and three-kilometer run -27 minutes for males and 30 minutes for females. He or she has no criminal, administrative, civil cases on file before any Prosecutor’s Office or Court of Justice and other/or derogatory record(s); and not a former cadet of PNPA or other service academies separated for cause(s) or by reason of resignation; Applicants must undergo examination covering Communication Skills ,Math and Sciences, logical and reasoning ability, general information and current events and values and aptitude for the service.
