Qualifiers for OWWA Scholarship Programs for School Year 2007-2008 OWWA Administrator Marianito D. Roque is pleased to announce the 100 qualifiers under the Education for Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) for School Year 2007-2008. A total of 2459 children of OFW-OWWA members who belong to the upper 20% of the high school graduating class took the qualifying examination on 03 December 2006 in DOST testing centers nationwide. The successful examinees who shall be entitled to Php 60,000.00 financial assistance per year until they finish their chosen 4 or 5 year baccalaureate courses are as follows:

It is to be noted that the EDSP is now on its 4th year of implementation, taking in 100 scholarship slots every year starting SY 2004-2005. Of the total 300 scholars for the past three years, as of !st Semester, SY 2006-2007, only 269 remain since some have been terminated already for failure to maintain the grade requirements.
